Smokebush 'Royal Purple'

Cotinus coggygria 'Royal Purple' - Royal Purple Smoke Bush - Excellent dark purple foliage that persists long into the fall. Pink flowers form a smoke-like haze in mid-summer. They have shallow fibrous roots and grows about 1-2' per year. Prune in spring. Use Bone Meal when you first plant. Do not fertilize the first year. Fertilize once a year with a balanced granular fertilizer. Do not plant any deeper than it is in the pot. Do not add any soil or mulch around the base of the stem. Water deeply once or twice a week for about 10 minutes whether it rains or not.

Zone 5. 3m W x 3m H. Upright, spreading shape. Yellow to pink flowers in June. Soft pink fruit on purple foliage turning red-purple in the fall. Full sun. Well drained soil. 3Gallon.

Attracts pollinators. Deer resistant.
